We visited Adam's mom in the hospital today. She just got out of the ICU after suffering one of the worst cases of pancreatitis her doctor had ever seen. The kids still aren't able to personally come see her because she hasn't been cleared of c. diff so they FaceTimed her from the waiting room. They watched her open some decorated hearts they made for her along with some flowers and a DVD of "Now You See Me". Shirley has a gift when it comes to children and played a little game of "raise you hand if your name starts with a (blank)" with the kids as they were screen to screen. It was so good to see her a bit more like herself. I feel honored to be a part of her family and love her dearly!
