Aspen's 2nd Birthday

We woke Aspen up with a candle stuck in a chocolate donut. We lit the candle and walked into her room singing Happy Birthday. She appeared to be a little freaked out at first, then embarrassed, trying not to smile. She blew out the candle and then said, as she does just about everytime she wakes up, even from afternoon naps, "Good morning."

Grandma and Grandpa (or Panga as Aspen's calls him) Wright were Aspen's first visitors that day.

a really fun magnetic Fridge Farm.

We invited Aspen's friend, Camden, and his mom and dad, Kristin and Kenny, for a little birthday party that afternoon. We had pizza, cheesy bread sticks, salad, and then cake!

Later that evening Mamie and Papi came to visit. They brought Aspen a Book of Mormon quiet book, clothes, and a Little Mermaid lego set.

Our last visitors on Aspen's birthday were Cheri and Tim. I'm sorry I didn't get a picture of either one of you, but here's a picture of the toys you brought Aspen. Cheri and Tim were really thoughtful with their gift (the my little pony's birthday was in March too!)

Thank you to everyone who came and called to wish Aspen a happy birthday! It means a lot to us that you love our little girl too.

Bentley Jade

We are so happy to welcome Bentley Jade to our family. She was born on March 17th making her our St. Patrick's Day baby. She was a week early but in our minds came right on time. We were really hoping she would come on the 17th for several reasons. First, Aspen was born on Easter and we thought it would be fun to have another holiday baby. Second, Adam's birthday is on the 7th of March and Aspen's on the 27th, how perfect for Bentley to be born right in the middle so our family can celebrate a birthday every 10 days in March. And last, because 3/17/07 has double sevens.

Mom was in labor for 7 hours and delivered about an hour after arriving at the hospital. Bentley was born at 2:10 pm weighing 6 lbs 14 oz and was 19 inches long. She is so beautiful and is also a really good baby. Aspen is adjusting well and always asks "Where baby?", when she gets up in the morning and from naps.

How is it possible to already love someone so much?

Bentley has light brown hair but we're not sure what color her eyes will be, for now they are blue-grey

So what if it's just gas, her smile is still just as precious

Adam's 30th Birthday

For Adam's 30th birthday his awesome wife threw him a surprise party. She took him to dinner at Ruby River while friends and family gathered at their home. Thanks to everyone who came and helped make the party a success. Adam really was surprised.
