SATURDAY

We spent Saturday visiting graves with the Wright family and then had a BBQ back at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Adam's family has a fun(ny) tradition of throwing candy at the graves because of his Grandma Brossard. While she was alive she brought treats to the cemetery and threw taffy. His family actually threw taffy at her funeral. I never knew Grandma Brossard but from what I've learned about her I think Shirley (Adam's mom) is a lot like her. She does a great job to carry on this tradition of tossing candy to the kids. While visiting the Salt Lake Cemetery we were able to stop by President Hinckley's grave. There were many flowers and a very special spirit there. It was our first time seeing our beloved prophet's grave. Before we went home Trina continued the candy throwing tradition with most of the adults and a few of the older kids.
We gathered at the Wright's for hamburger, hot dogs, and games, but before we ate, the adults with muscle put up Adam's parents new pavilion. It's not just a gazebo, so don't call it that. Adam's brother and his wife, Leah, just had a baby. We've missed seeing Leah since her c-section so it was so fun to have her there. They have the most beautiful babies and Lucy is no exception.
MONDAY

We visited my mom's parents' grave on Monday morning with Mamie, Papi, Jean, and Kali. We like to go for the program and were able to enjoy the bagpipe music even in the rain. Like when we visited graves with Adam's family, Aspen HAD to carry the flowers. She looked so cute and actually let me take a picture of her.

Because no one had other plans we had another BBQ with Adam's family later that afternoon, this time at Karl and Trina's house.
