Pedicures
My visiting teachers thought it would be fun to get together with all their girls to go get pedicures. Now that we've moved I'll miss seeing these girls, although I've told them that I hope they'll still invite me when they get together like this.

Overnight Cabin Trip
Our friends, Rory and Carrie, invited us to come stay at their family's cabin up Big Cottonwood Canyon. It was so fun to get away without having to drive very far. We picked up Papa John's Pizza for dinner on our way up and then sat around the fireplace while the kids watched a movie and ate popcorn.

The next day began with pancakes for breakfast, while I slept in (it was so nice), and a walk around Mirror Lake, while I stayed at the cabin to relax my pregnant body (again, so nice).
We spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out on the cabin porch...

whittling,

posing (35 weeks),

snacking,

and decorating walking sticks with paint and pipe cleaners.

Rory, Carrie, and 3 of their 4 kids

Their youngest- she has the prettiest eyes and loved the camera!

Our family
We played on the swing set...

We ate a yummy BBQ (no pictures)
The kids made spider cupcakes...

And we went on a candy hunt...

Rory is telling the kids a story about Hansel and Gretel and how we were going to hunt for a trail of candy they had left to find a candy tree by the witches house.

Finding a sucker on the trail

Getting closer

Tracie and Carrie

Finding the candy tree

Running back to the cabin before the witch found us!
Thanks Rory and Carrie for inviting us to come hang out with your family! We always have such a great time with you. And thanks for planning all the fun activities!

Avett Brothers At Red Butte Garden
Adam called me from work to ask if I wanted to go on a date with him to a concert. Sure! I always want to go on a date with my husband! A co-worker had won tickets and offered them to Adam because he wasn't going to go. We hadn't ever heard of the Avett Brothers, but enjoyed listening to them. We had really great seats at our own little table. The VIP parking we got was also really nice. My pregnant body was so thankful to only have to walk 100 feet from the car to the entrance of the amphitheater. Thanks for the date, Adam!

Going Back For One Last Sunday

Because we closed so quickly on the sale of our condo, we didn't know that our last Sunday living there was our last. We decided to go back to our old ward the day after we had moved to tell everyone we had moved and to say goodbye. We actually will have one more Sunday when we go back for Aspen to be in the primary program, so I guess it wasn't really our last Sunday. You could say we are having a hard time letting go.

Moving Day
Now that our condo is sold we can start construction on our new home. In the meantime we're moving in with Adam's parents. We are so thankful to them for opening their home to us. We've lived in Bluffdale for three wonderful years and have made so many great memories and so many great friends during our time here. Moving days are full of mixed emotions. We are sad to leave but are excited for what's to come.

Our view couldn't have been more beautiful that morning.

The boxes were ready.

Aspen and Bentley were ready... except for their hair and the doughnut on their face.

And my parents, who were the first ones on the scene, were ready. I didn't get any pictures of all the neighbors, friends, and family members who came to help us load up the truck at our condo because, of course, it was a little hectic. You always hope that when you have a big empty truck parked outside and boxes stacked in every room, not to mention furniture you can't lift on your own (or lift at all if you're pregnant) that people actually show up to help you. We got everything packed up within a couple of hours. Thank you to everyone!

The U-haul parked at Adam's parent's house, where we will be living until our house is built.

Like I said, I didn't get pictures of everyone that helped, but here is everyone who helped load AND unload. Left standing was several of Adam's family and our new/old neighbor, Steve, who had moved into a condo just across the street the day before. What a nice guy!
With the truck was unloaded and our stomachs empty too, Adam's parents invited everyone to stay for hamburgers and a barbecue. Thanks, Wayne and Shirley!

That night at our new home for the next 4-6 months.
